About SprueStack

SprueStack: Guides, kit history and WW2 day by day for wargamers and modellers. It is a free, independent publication for historical wargamers, scale modellers and terrain builders. The aim right now is to build something genuinely useful first, and only consider how to fund it once an audience exists and has told us what it values.

How the site fits together

Clipping a sprue, sorting bricks, painting a squad or basing a diorama are all the same job at different stages: plan and sort, prep, build, finish, weather and detail, base and display, and care, mod and rebuild. The Techniques section covers that job stage by stage, and Build Types covers what is different about each kind of build. The Kit Archive covers historical plastic kits and wargaming miniatures, and Zero Hour covers WW2 day by day.

Who runs this site

SprueStack is operated by Obsidian Dynamics Limited, company no. 16663833, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset BH16 6FA. All editorial content, including kit buying guides, build guides and campaign maps, is original writing produced for this site.

How we handle unfinished entries

We publish as we check. Pages are written up with their sources listed, and if a kit, guide or reading-path entry ever goes live before its facts, steps or books are complete, it carries a visible research-status panel so readers can see that at a glance. Nothing is presented as checked or verified until it actually has been.
