AI use

No decorative image live on SprueStack today is AI-generated: every decorative header and background on the site is plain CSS and SVG, written in code. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, with the tool, date and prompt used logged for any AI-generated decorative image before it is published.

AI is never used for kit facts, build steps, quotes, book details, or on any plan, build photo or kit page, and no AI image is used of a real kit, a real person, a real place, or anything made to look like a wartime photograph.

Trademarks

Maker and product names mentioned on this site, including in the Kit Archive, are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here only to identify and describe products for buying guides and reviews. No logos or box art are reproduced, and SprueStack is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the makers it writes about.

Every reference photo on this site is real, never AI-generated, and never box art or a manufacturer product photo. Every photo carries a short credit line where it's used; the full record, grouped by page, is below.

Where a photo is licensed CC BY-SA, we credit the author and licence and link the source; any resized or cropped derivative file we publish is offered under the same CC BY-SA version, and the licence applies only to that photo, not to the rest of the site. The same applies to CC BY images, except that share-alike is not required. Public domain and CC0 images are credited as a courtesy, not because the licence requires it.

Artwork and type

The site's cards and other graphic elements are original CSS and SVG, written for this site and generated in code rather than drawn or photographed. Display type is set in Big Shoulders, body and interface text in Public Sans, and specs and meta text in Martian Mono, all self-hosted. Big Shoulders, Public Sans and Martian Mono are each published under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
