What published reviews say
We have not built this kit. This is a summary of published reviews. Glen Porter (HyperScale, 2012, in-box) called it the best 1:72 Bf109E on the market and Highly Recommended. Geoff Coughlin (Scale Modelling Now, July 2012, in-box, review sample from Airfix) gave it 4 out of 5. Scott Van Aken (Modeling Madness, full build) found it very satisfying at a reasonable price, with tight fits and fragile small parts. All three reviewed the original A01008 boxing, not A01008B.
Build notes
- Part count: 64 (Airfix)
- Painting: Yes. Airfix states the kit contains plastic parts, instructions, paint guide and decals; paint and glue are not included. Van Aken sprayed RLM 71/02/65 with Testors Model Master enamels.
