Two published reviews, both of the same 2011 tooling, first released as A01763 and later reboxed as A00763 and this A00763V. Plastic Soldier Review found 48 figures in 15 poses with skin-tight battledress, thin rifles and soft detail, rated sculpting 6 and mould 9 of 10, and preferred the older Esci set covering the same subject. Klaus Schultheis (miniatures.de, reviewing the original A01763 release) judged the set below the standard of Airfix's earlier Commandos and Paratroops sets, flagging inconsistent haversack proportions (only 3 of 14 packs correct) and variable rifle and submachine-gun sculpting, including only 3 of 7 riflemen with a correctly proportioned SMLE, plus an oversized PIAT tube. He credited generally correct 1937 Pattern webbing and Brodie helmets.
