What published reviews say

We have not built this kit. This is a summary of published reviews. chaosbunker.de (Aug 2019) liked the new sculpts and dynamic poses and found a box gives enough for a minimum platoon, noting there is no LMG, only BARs. Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy (Jun 2018) found it a complete redesign with very good detail and easier assembly than the 2013 set. Operation Good Cause 2019 (Feb 2019, assembled, not yet painted) found the parts crisp and the fit trouble-free, but no .30 cal MG or sniper rifle. The chaosbunker.de review copy was provided by the manufacturer.

Build notes

  • Part count: Five sprues of six soldiers, 25mm round bases, waterslide decals (chaosbunker.de)
  • Painting: Yes. Supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints not included (Warlord Games).
  • Sculpt detail: chaosbunker.de found the sprues properly cast with dynamic poses; Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy rates the detailing very good.
  • Assembly fiddliness: Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy found the weapons now come attached to arms, which makes assembly much easier. Operation Good Cause 2019 found assembly very easy, with a small amount of witness marks to remove with a sharp blade.
